Issues with Loading Fullbody XR Avatars in Unity

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with loading Fullbody XR avatars in Unity. Instead of the Fullbody XR avatars, only the standard Fullbody avatars are being loaded.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  • I created an application in Studio and set it to “Full-body XR (beta)”.
  • I copied the subdomain and AppID into the settings (Tools > Ready Player Me > Settings).
  • In the settings, I selected “FullBodyXR” under Avatar Body Type.
  • I clicked “Load Avatar into current scene,” but only the regular Fullbody avatar is being loaded.
  • I’ve also tried clearing the Avatar Cache.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or how to fix this?

Which way are you trying to load the Avatar? Are you using an Avatar Creator inside Unity or trying to load it via Quickstart Scene or AvatarLoader settings?

If you are using the Avatar Loader, the Avatar must be a Full-Body XR Avatar that you are loading. Try creating a new Avatar via your subdomain on the browser and try loading that into Unity to see if it helps.

If none of the above explain the issue, could you share the following information:

  1. SDK version
  2. Unity version
  3. Platform
  4. Error logs/screenshots/recordings
