Wrong Material or something when possessing vehicles and when working in Android

Hey @Gonzalo_RPM

Maybe you can help me with this:

My player works perfect (in windows) but when I posses a vehicle the materials are destroyed:
If you can help me with that please will be great, or any hint where to find that connection will be useful.
In this test there is no modification to your plugin or character, just used as it comes.

Thanks!

Same happens in the Android Build:

  • As a note @Gonzalo_RPM this suddenly began like 3 months ago in the Android build, I didn’t reported waiting you to solve that issue, I installed 3.3.0 but still having the same problem:
My main concern is Android than possessed pawns.
  • Note 2: This worked perfectly during the 2024 until some day the Android build began to fail. (I can’t say this isn’t in my end, could be too, any help is welcome)

In viewport and in Windows builds works fine.

In Android Shipping/Distribution files:

Hi @afriant

What is your GLTFRuntime version? The wrong version might cause these kinds of issues.

Please also provide:

Unreal Engine version
Platform (only happens with Android?)
Reproduction steps

Hey @Markus_RPM
Thanks for the quick reply, problem happens in Android only.
I solved it modifying some RPM code on my end anyways. Thanks!

On the other hand:

  • Texture atlas: I need to increase the size of these attached to 2048, how can I do that? I mean of the downloaded avatars in real time.
  • And the LOD(0) of the character is too low quality, where can I modify it to a better quality? I need to see it as in the PC version or the viewport, in Android looks too pixelated even in LOD 0. Downloaded avatars in real time too.
I can share you access to the game if you want to try it and see my problem, I need more quality and performance is not a problem using your avatars (Quest 2 or 3).

Info:
UE5.3.2
Ready Player me plugin 3.3.0, which includes the latest GLTF

Thanks!

Hi there,

These are the only optimization settings we currently have available: Avatar configuration | Ready Player Me

The maximum texture size limit is 1024. Currently, you cannot get better quality Avatars than High = LOD(0)
