Please consider re-enabling some sort of way of Dev account registration until PlayerZero SDK/Studio ready

l believe when PlayerZero pops it will have quite lot higher customization options (extra skin overlays, accessories, more qualified body geometry, etc), than mere ReadyPlayerMe, so application devs will switch to that en masse anyway.

Right now however, with a decision of closing old RPM dev register, and many of application owners are now seek anotha avatar creation services. Which in this regard means that they won’t ever switch back to PlayerZero. This is the example:

I have a client right now that I had recommended RPM to for avatars. The fact that the existing solution doesn’t allow sign-ups any more and the new one has an unknown release date has ruined any good will I could build with them about the platform. Simply put, they don’t trust that the service will be there when they need it since it’s not there now either. This has led them to pursue other avenues for avatar creation - which I think is REALLY unfortunate.

Even this:

RPM crew now has to look at accounts & enable dev accounts manually? Why, when it could be made automatically?! In addition to that many learning persons were using RPM Studio services for education of this stuff.

Please consider enabling Dev account registration once again, even if it won’t be as easy as it meant to be pre-February 2025 (although l believe still not at cost of $); is the decision about closing new signups dictated by lack of server space or what? But then avatars on non-Dev accounts must take not less space than dev accs, most of which do not have even a single .GLB model uploaded. There’s massive uproar here on forums, new questions about dev accounts appear almost daily, so lMO it has to be somehow dealt with.

l think closing down new signups for ReadyPlayerMe Studio is counterproductive for the service, as people are leaving the whole service. And l believe if the firm switches to something like Union Avatar or Engage Avatar, they won’t come back when PlayerZero SDK pops.

But however, if signups were still open, they would live on RPM avatar to the moment PlayerZero Studio goes to sail. What’s the commercial point to having signups closed at all? Economizing server space? But l suppose registering new accounts would take just minor faction of database, as new Studio accounts rarely come to the point of adding new .GLB outfit models, while existing Studio accounts (which are not impaired, and this is great that they aren’t, or else there would be REALLY MASS leaving of existing enterprizes from ReadyPlayerMe) far more often add new .GLB things.

Thus l can see only a very minor profit of closing Dev signups in immediate moment, while this may have far major profit loss in more distant future. Which l call really counterproductive, unless the firm goes for its shrinkage/liquidation; and l hope it’s not this case for ReadyPlayerMe.

Also l would like to note that /redeem/??? ??? ?? links still DO NOT work!
