Onboarding Modal with "Take a photo" button Missing on Subdomain

We noticed that on the demo page of your service (Ready Player Me), an onboarding modal with a “Take a photo” button appears on first login. However, this modal does not show up on subdomain (Ready Player Me).

Could you please advise how we can trigger this modal on first visit to our subdomain?

This feature is very important for our project. We need users to create an avatar using their photo, but without the onboarding modal, the “Take a photo” button may be hard to find in the interface, which could impact the user experience.

We would greatly appreciate your help with this.

Hello @rikani86 !

This setting is controlled via Ready Player Me Studio in the settings of your subdomain

Enable this and you should be good to go!

Thanks

Hello @Tom_RPM !

Thanks for your reply. The Photo Upload option is already enabled in the Ready Player Me Studio, but unfortunately, that didn’t resolve the issue — the onboarding modal still doesn’t appear.

From what we see, the Photo Upload setting only controls the visibility of the “Upload Photo” block on the special tab where users also select their gender. It doesn’t seem to affect the onboarding modal itself.

Any suggestions on what else might be causing this?

Thanks in advance!

Could you just confirm your subdomain for me @rikani86 ?

That is odd because it fully removes it on my test subdomain. But let me check your settings in the backend!

Do you mean this when you say the modal @rikani86 ?

As you are using half-body avatars this won’t be available to you as all of the template avatars are using the full-body style.

If you change to full-body avatars via Studio I believe that would then work for you
