Timeout when trying to load DefaultAvatarSelection

I have problem when try to entering DefaultAvatarSelection, sometimes it doesnt load anything, sometimes it load just a few avatar not all of them. it start happens around 3 weeks ago, before that everything runs perfectly. can you help me with these? how can i set the timeout? or what should i do to solve this problem?

Hi Pockyman,

This seems like an issue with the connection to our server rather than the SDK itself.
Does this happen to you occasionally or all the time? It is possible that there has been a connection hiccup that has caused this.

Here are a few things you could check:

*Unstable/No Connection: Ensure the device running Unity has a stable internet connection.

*Firewall or Proxy: Firewalls or proxy settings may block the SSL connection.

Hi Markus, thanks for your reply.

it happens all the time, i try it on different devices with different connection but it still won’t load them all at once. sometimes it load like 1 out of 9 avatar, sometimes it can’t load at all

Hi Pockyman,

Make sure that you’ve added the Application ID and Subdomain in Unity Settings
If that doesn’t help, please provide the following:

  • RPM SDK version
  • Unity version
  • Platform
  • Reproduction steps

Hi Markus,

i guess you send the wrong link documentation.

But i double check the App ID and Subdomain just to make sure, it’s the right one and still doesn’t solve the problem

  • RPM SDK version
    6.0.1 version

  • Unity version
    2021.3.29f1

  • Platform
    Windows Standalone

  • Reproduction steps
Play “AvatarCreatorWizard” Scene > Choose any body type > Continue Without Photo > it will try to load the default avatar selection but turns out Operation Timed Out

Hi,

Sorry about the incorrect link, I removed it. This seems like a connection issue since we were unable to reproduce it.

Could you test if the web creator works for you?
eg Ready Player Me.

Hi Markus,
The web creator seems working fine

Hi,

Please share your project, subdomain, and app ID with us via our Support Portal so we can look into it further. You can refer to this forum post.

Hi,

i’ve sent my project, subdomain, and app ID to the support portal.

Thanks.

Hi Pockyman,

We’ve investigated the issue and it seems to be region-related. Unfortunately, the SDK won’t function properly in Southeast Asia and Asia.

We don’t have a timeline or plans to make changes to our infrastructure, but I’m happy to forward the feedback to our team.

Hi Markus,

Alright then, i hope one day your team will expand the project so RPM can function properly in Southeast Asia and Asia, because it’s such a great feature.

Thanks for your support!
