Avatar doesn't get uploaded to VRChat

after creating avatar it gives download link instead of connecting to vrchat or other places

Since late April, 2025, I’ve been unable to upload RPM avatars to VR Chat using the VRC Partner site. I’ve checked everything I know to check. Is anyone else having this problem? I’m not sure if it’s a problem with my settings or something internal to VR Chat.
I see all of the avatars that I’ve created and attempted to upload in my RPM account. When I click ā€œImport to VRChatā€ on the last page, it requests authorization, which I give. It then presents the page that says it may take 10 minutes or more for the avatar to appear in my VRC account. But it never appears. (although it used to. I’ve successfully uploaded 10 or so avatars prior to April).
Again, my question: Is anyone else having this is issue, or is it peculiar to my setup?

Me too! Someone please solve the issue!!!plzzzzz

@Tom_RPM @Amel_RPM huge thanks if someone can solve this issue ASAP!

I am chatting with the team at VRChat at the moment, hoping to have this resolved for you all asap!

Hello, I created an avatar and have been trying to upload it since yesterday. I click ā€˜Authorize’, but the avatar doesn’t get uploaded to VRChat. Could you please help me

Still no progress on this problem.

The RPM VRChat site hasn’t worked for nearly 2 months. Several of us have notified both RPM and VRC, but so far there’s no official response. If anyone has had success with it, I’d love to hear about it.

It would be great if you could post on VRChat“s forum, as well. There“s strength in numbers

I“m guessing you entered the avatar creator through Ready Player Me“s home page. If you go to VRChat.com, click Creators/Get an Avatar, it will take you to a similar Readyplayer.me editor that will give you an option to import to VRChat once you finalize your avatar.
This worked for me up until about 3 weeks ago. I“m guessing there“s been an upgrade to VRC that has temporarily disabled the upload feature. Hopefully, it will be corrected soon.

I wish I could unmark this as a ā€œsolution.ā€ It’s been over a month, and the VRC / Ready Player Me import app is still not working.

I have made numerous attempts to upload a custom avatar to VRChat, but the avatar never materialzes in VR Chat. I have seen a few other posts about this, but nothing from the reqdyplayerme team. Has anyone received an update on this issue? Timeline to correct it (if at all)?

I am having the same problem and it appears to be a problem for many.

Appreciate you posting their response. Hopefully they can fix it soon

I created an avatar on the website. When I click add to VR Chat, it loads, redirects, and then closes the window. I’ve checked in VR chat itself and the Web interface. The avatar still isn’t showing up. What do I need to do to fix this?

Hello @captmotorcycle unfortunately we have an ongoing issue with VRChat that they are helping us to resolve. At the moment we are waiting on them so I cannot give any further updates but I will try and push them for some further information and timelines.

Will post in here once the issue has been resolved
